QUESTIONS ON YOUR PRESCRIPTION

Prescription services are available to all beneficiaries (including Medicare patients) with a valid DOD ID card. Most prescriptions for Alaska residents may be filled with a 90-day supply if requested by the provider, all others are up to a 30-day supply. All prescriptions must have the patient name, sponsor's social security number, address, and phone number placed on them. Prescriptions signed as "Substitution Permitted" may be filled with a generically equivalent medication. If we do not carry the medication and you want it changed to something we carry, please contact your provider and have them contact us.
To keep waiting times for new prescriptions at a minimum, all prescription refills must be ordered through the phone-in refill service. Phone lines are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To use the phone-in service, call 580-1170. If you do not have a touch-tone phone, please stay on the line for our answering service. If you use the answering service, please leave the following information: your name, sponsor's social security number and the prescription number of the medications you would like refilled. Refills called in by 3 p.m. will be filled and available for pick-up at the Pharmacy after 9 a.m. the next duty day. A list of formulary items is available at the pharmacy or can be faxed to your provider.

If you have run out of refill and require new medication, please contact your Primary Care Manager by calling the Appointment Line.
The Pharmacy is open 0730-1730 M-F. (The Pharmacy is closed noon-4:30 p.m. the 3rd Thursday of each month for training.)
