Col. Robyn M. Burk is Commander, 611th Air Support Group, 11th Air Force, Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska. She is responsible for 40 remote Alaska sites with a $4.3 billion asset value, providing first-line radar, communications, engineering, environmental, and logistics support for 11th Air Force and Alaskan NORAD Region. She commands one air station, two forward operating locations, and 18 remote radar sites supporting air sovereignty, war readiness missions, and homeland defense. She implements government-to-government consultation with Alaska native tribes and works directly with more than 50 communities across the great state of Alaska.
Colonel Burk entered the Air Force in 1984 after obtaining her commission through the Reserve Officer Training Corps at Louisiana State University. A career logistics readiness officer, she has served in a variety of logistics and acquisition assignments at base level, MAJCOM and Air Staff, including squadron command at the 27th Logistics Support Squadron, Cannon AFB, N.M., and 355th Transportation Squadron, Davis-Monthan AFB, Ariz.. She deployed as lead logistics planner for the U.S. Central Command Air Forces during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
